Mumbai, March 2 (NationPress) Actress Preity Zinta embarked on a spiritual journey from the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj to Varanasi alongside her mother. The 'Veer-Zaara' star shared a video on her Instagram account, providing a glimpse into her experiences at these sacred locations.
She expressed her feelings in a heartfelt social media note, stating, "This trip has been quite an adventure. My mom wished to conclude our Mahakumbh visit in Varanasi for Shivratri... So I agreed, of course, mom, let’s go. Upon arriving, we discovered that due to the overwhelming crowds, vehicles were prohibited and roads were blocked beyond a certain point, allowing people to walk and perform darshan at the Kashi Vishwanath temple. We decided to embrace the journey. From traveling by car to hopping into an auto rickshaw and then a cycle rickshaw, we experienced it all while navigating through bustling crowds."
Reflecting on her observations, the 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' actress noted, "The crowd in Varanasi was quite decent. I never encountered anything negative; people are fundamentally good. Despite the lengthy trip, we never felt its weight, thanks to the strength of faith and the collective energy of those around us."
Preity Zinta also shared that her mother was incredibly joyful during the trip, which she considers the greatest 'seva'. "I have never seen my mom so joyful... she was radiating happiness. Observing her, I understood that the greatest seva is not towards the divine but towards our parents. Unfortunately, we often realize their worth only after becoming parents ourselves. While she initiated this trip, the true calling was mine—she was merely the reason. We arrived at midnight to witness the midnight Arti. It lasted only a few moments as there were no VIP services available, but that was inconsequential," the actress revealed.
