Mumbai, Jan 9 (NationPress) Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas applauded the courageous first responders for their dedication as they worked through the night, providing assistance to families impacted by the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles.

Priyanka utilized her Instagram stories to share a post showcasing the first responders battling the wildfire, which has devastated thousands of acres of land.

Expressing her gratitude, she wrote: “A huge shoutout to the incredibly brave first responders. Thank you for working tirelessly overnight and continuing to help families affected.” @lasdhq @losangelesfiredepartment @lapdhq

The actress previously shared footage of the wildfire consuming the Los Angeles neighborhood.

In the video, she remarked, “it’s crazy.”

Her post also included the message, “My thoughts are with everyone affected. Hope we are all able to be safe tonight.”

Priyanka provided another update on the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles, stating, “Fast-moving Palisades fire in LA scorches thousands of acres, destroys homes.”

A significant wildfire surged through Los Angeles on January 7, 2025, leading over 30,000 residents to evacuate. Numerous videos depicting the fire have circulated on social media, raising concerns among the public. In response, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in Los Angeles.

On the professional front, the global sensation has several thrilling projects on the horizon, including “Heads of State,” where she appears alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. This action-comedy film is directed by Ilya Naishuller.

Additionally, she will portray a 19th-century Caribbean pirate in “The Bluff,” a swashbuckling drama co-written by Frank E. Flowers and Joe Ballarini, with Flowers also directing.

The film features an ensemble cast that includes Karl Urban, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Safia Oakley-Green, and Vedanten Naidoo.

Set in the Caribbean islands during the 19th century, the film showcases Priyanka as a former female pirate who must safeguard her family when her past resurfaces.

Furthermore, Priyanka is set to reprise her role in the second season of the web series “Citadel.”
