Mumbai, Jan 8 (NationPress) Bollywood actor Pulkit Samrat asserts that the financial aspect of a film is irrelevant, as audiences seek relatable narratives.
Pulkit shared his thoughts on the ongoing discussion regarding big-budget versus smaller films, stating that irrespective of financial backing, captivating stories will always resonate with viewers.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Pulkit was questioned on the popular debate, "There is a lot of discussion about big-budget versus smaller films. What are your thoughts?"
In response, Pulkit emphasized that there will consistently be an audience for genuine storytelling and remarkable performances.
He elaborated, "Good stories always work. There will always be an audience for honest storytelling and strong performances. Cinema is a collective experience, and audiences deserve to go home entertained, whether the film is a comedy, drama, or horror."
On the professional front, Pulkit will be seen alongside his 'Fukrey' co-star Varun Sharma in the upcoming comedic venture, "Rahu Ketu".
When discussing the essence of comedy, Pulkit revealed, "Comedy is as challenging as any other genre. Every scene demands effort. There is a misconception that comedy is easy, but that is far from the truth.
There is a very thin line between being funny and overdoing it. I have learned a lot about comic timing from Varun. His sense of timing is exceptional, and working with him has helped me grow immensely."
Directed by Vipul Vig, "Rahu Ketu" features a stellar cast, including Shalini Pandey, Piyush Mishra, Chunky Pandey, Amit Sial, and Manurishi Chaddha, among others.
Regarding his upcoming project, Pulkit expressed, "We’ve had the most fun shooting this full-on, hilariously twisted chaos of a film. Can’t wait for audiences to see what we’ve created."
Co-produced by Zee Studios and BLive Productions, "Rahu Ketu" is set to hit theaters on January 16, 2026.
