Mumbai, Dec 22 (NationPress) Rajat Bedi shared his deep appreciation for Rakesh Roshan, who cast him in the 2003 film “Koi... Mil Gaya”. He referred to the veteran director as the individual who provided him with a role that has sustained him through the years.

In this landmark film, Rajat portrayed the memorable character Raj Saxena, marking a pivotal moment in his acting career alongside stars like Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta.

On Instagram, he posted a joyful photo with Rakesh Roshan, both beaming at the camera. In his caption, Rajat wrote: “Feeling incredibly fortunate to meet the man who provided me with a role that’s kept me alive till today @rakesh_roshan9, my mentor, my teacher, and one of the most humble and talented individuals in the industry.”

“Sir, it was an absolute delight and privilege to encounter you today and to have collaborated with you. Working with you is a dream for anyone, and I’ve had that dream realized once; I would be thrilled to do it again.”

Koi... Mil Gaya is a science fiction action drama directed by Rakesh Roshan, revolving around Rohit Mehra, a man with developmental disabilities who connects with an extraterrestrial being named Jadoo using a supercomputer created by his late father, Sanjay. The narrative also explores his relationship with Nisha, a friend who falls in love with him.

Rajat made his leading debut in the 1998 sci-fi film 2001: Do Hazaar Ek and later transitioned to supporting and antagonistic roles, gaining fame for his portrayal of Raj Saxena in the blockbuster Koi... Mil Gaya. He has acted in over 40 films, including Jodi No.1, Rakht, Khamoshh... Khauff Ki Raat, and Rocky - The Rebel.

Recently, he appeared in the series The Ba***ds of Bollywood, a satirical action-comedy directed by Aryan Khan in his Netflix directorial debut, which brought Rajat back into the limelight.

The series features a cast including Bobby Deol, Lakshya Lalwani, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Manish Chaudhari, Rajat Bedi, Meherzan Mazda, Divik Sharma, Mona Singh, Gautami Kapoor, Vijayant Kohli, Neville Bharucha, and Armaan Khera.
