New Delhi, May 10 (NationPress) As his much-anticipated film Bhool Chuk Maaf, which centers around marriage and a time loop, approaches its digital release, actor Rajkummar Rao shared insights about his own wedding with actress Patralekhaa. He revealed that they opted out of traditional ceremonies, instead enjoying a series of recurring parties.
When asked which wedding ceremony he would like to repeat, Rajkummar responded to IANS: “At my wedding, we didn’t have traditional ceremonies like sangeet or haldi. We just had parties—one during the day on the first day, followed by another at night. After that came the wedding, and then another party that night. It was literally on a loop!”
“We hosted themed parties such as a pool party and a white party,” added Rajkummar, who married Patralekhaa in 2021 in Chandigarh after a decade of dating.
“Bhool Chuk Maaf follows a small-town romantic boy named Ranjan from Banaras, who secures a government job to marry Titli but forgets his vow to Lord Shiva—only to find himself trapped in a time-loop until he fulfills his promise.
When discussing the film's atmosphere during shooting, he said: “It felt like a party, but only at night because the days were quite hectic. We were filming during May-June. Night shoots were preferable since the AC struggled to keep us cool during the day’s heat.”
He added: “Otherwise, we had a blast, both on-screen and off-screen, as everyone was very laid-back. No one took themselves too seriously, and we all loved our work, which made the film a labor of love.
On May 8, the producers of Bhool Chuk Maaf, which was originally set to debut on May 9, announced that the film will now be available for digital streaming on Prime Video starting May 16, due to “recent events and the increased security measures across the nation.”
