Mumbai, Sep 29 (NationPress) In celebration of his 43rd birthday on Sunday, actor Ranbir Kapoor revealed his aspirations for the future during a live Instagram session on the official page of his clothing brand, Arks.
During this interactive session, a fan inquired, "When can we expect to see RK the director?" To which the 'Sanju' star responded that he is eager to transition into directing and has already begun laying the groundwork.
Ranbir disclosed that he has initiated a writer's room to spark his creativity with fresh ideas.
He expressed enthusiasm, stating, "I am dying to direct a movie. I have started a writer's room, actually. I’m working on two ideas that I’m really excited about, and it’s definitely on my to-do list in the next couple of years."
Furthermore, during the session, Ranbir credited the renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for nurturing his passion for cinema and shared his excitement about working with him again in the upcoming project, “Love and War.”
The 'Rockstar' actor mentioned that both Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt are among his favorite actors.
He shared, “Love and War is directed by Mr. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, featuring two of my favorite actors, Vicky Kaushal and my incredibly talented wife Alia Bhatt. Working with Bhansali, who taught me everything I know about acting, is a dream come true, especially after 18 years of growth in his craft.”
It’s noteworthy that Ranbir began his film career as an assistant to Bhansali on the movie “Black”, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji.
He made his acting debut in Bhansali's 2007 romantic drama, “Saawariya,” which also marked the entry of Sonam Kapoor into Bollywood.
