In reality, I have a penchant for those multifaceted, emotionally challenging characters. However, there exists a part of me that’s far more easygoing, and I aspire to engage with material that is light, playful, and entertaining on screen."
The 48-year-old actor mentioned that he hasn’t yet encountered the ideal opportunity to step into this genre, noting that a good comedy remains on his wishlist.
“I’ve only been on the verge of comedy, and when I attempted it, the timing or narratives didn’t align as we anticipated. Nevertheless, exploring comedy roles is something I am eager to pursue,” stated Randeep, who recently appeared in the action film “Jaat” alongside Sunny Deol.
Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni, features a talented ensemble cast including Saiyami Kher, Regina Cassandra, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Vineet Kumar Singh, Prashant Bajaj, Zarina Wahab, P. Ravi Shankar, and Babloo Prithiveeraj.

The film “Operation Khukri” will depict the harrowing true events of 2000, when 233 Indian soldiers were taken hostage by rebel forces in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and the daring rescue mission that ensued.
The actor will portray Major General Raj Pal Punia, who was then a young Company Commander of the 14th Mechanised Infantry. He managed both the tense standoff and the extraordinary rescue operation amidst challenging jungle warfare conditions, as reported by variety.com.
