Mumbai, Aug 2 (NationPress) Actor and filmmaker Randeep Hooda emphasizes that acting is never a straightforward task, as it always entails a degree of fear and uncertainty. He remarked that each new role feels akin to embarking on a fresh journey.
When questioned whether acting ever becomes easy for him, or if every role still invokes a sense of fear and unpredictability, Randeep shared with IANS: “If you're not experiencing uncertainty and thinking, 'Oh my God, this time, they are going to find out that I don't know anything about acting,' it keeps me alert, and I genuinely believe that.”
“It always feels like I am performing my first job.”
In response to whether he believes what an actor articulates is more influential than what remains unexpressed, Randeep remarked: “What you express are merely your thoughts. Many of us attempt to conceal our thoughts or do not convey our true intentions completely.”
“Thus, it is the gap between those.” He believes that speaking is the final form of communication between individuals.
On the cinematic front, Randeep is set to appear in the epic war drama “Operation Khukri”.
He has acquired the official film rights to “Operation Khukri: The Untold Story of the Indian Army’s Bravest Peacekeeping Mission Abroad” by Major General Rajpal Punia and Damini Punia.
The film “Operation Khukri” will depict the harrowing real-life events from 2000, when 233 Indian soldiers were taken hostage by rebel forces in Sierra Leone, West Africa, alongside the subsequent perilous rescue operation that ensued.
Additionally, he will feature in the American action-adventure comedy film titled “Matchbox”, directed by Sam Hargrave, with a release scheduled for fall 2026.
Matchbox is inspired by the toy brand of the same name and features a star-studded cast including John Cena, Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro, Teyonah Parris, Randeep, Danai Gurira, and Corey Stoll.
