Reflecting on her remarkable journey thus far, Rashmika, affectionately known as the National Crush by her fanbase, expressed that she has never experienced a moment of feeling as though she has "made it" in the film industry.
In a conversation with IANS, Rashmika stated: “I feel like every time I'm on the verge of feeling that way, some unexpected challenge arises. So, I think, 'Alright then.'”
“To me, the moment I declare ‘I’ve made it’ is the moment I risk losing my way. I always feel that now that the audience has shown me their support and love, it’s my duty to continue to surprise them with what comes next,” she shared.
The actress, who has starred in numerous blockbusters across different languages, emphasized her appreciation for the trust her fans place in her.
“I genuinely respect their hard-earned money, and I understand the effort it takes to earn it. Therefore, I do not take these aspects lightly. I believe that if fans choose to watch me as an artist, there’s only so much I can deliver,” she remarked.
She added that while she can select a film and portray the best version of her character, the final outcome is reliant on the editing process, showcasing her faith in her team.
“However, the feeling of ‘I’ve made it’ hasn’t arrived for me yet. At this point, having completed around 27 films, if it hasn’t happened yet, I doubt it will anytime soon,” she concluded.
Looking ahead, the actress, whose most recent release is “Thamma,” is preparing for her upcoming film “The Girlfriend.”
This Telugu romantic drama also features Dheekshith Shetty and is directed by Rahul Ravindran.
The movie is set to premiere on November 7, 2025, in various languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. Additionally, she will star in “Cocktail 2” and “Mysaa.”
