Tiger Shroff firing: Ravi Dubey calls it 'major security lapse', 3 arrested
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Actor Ravi Dubey on 19 October 2026 condemned the firing incident targeting fellow actor Tiger Shroff outside a football club near Pushpa Narsee Park in Mumbai's Juhu area, calling it a 'major security lapse' and urging authorities to take the matter seriously. Notably, Dubey and Shroff are neighbours, residing in the same building.
What Ravi Dubey Said
Speaking to the media, Dubey expressed relief that Shroff was unharmed but voiced concern over the wider security implications. “I am sure that a lot of assurance has been given to the family as well. This is a major security lapse. I haven't spoken to Tiger yet. The good thing is that Tiger is safe and sound. His driver, however, sustained injuries, and I hope he recovers soon. I hope that those who committed this act are caught immediately. That would bring a sense of relief to everyone,” Dubey said.
He also struck a measured tone on accountability, stopping short of directing blame at the government. “We are nobody to make demands from the government. What we can do is request them that this is a major security lapse,” he added.
The Juhu Firing Incident
The attack took place on 18 October outside the football club near Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu, Mumbai. Tiger Shroff escaped without gunshot injuries, but his driver and an autorickshaw driver were wounded in the incident, according to reports.
Three Suspects Arrested in Kota
A joint team of the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Kota City Police, acting on inputs from Mumbai Police, apprehended all three suspects while they were travelling aboard the Pune-Jaipur Express. The arrests were made in Kota, Rajasthan.
According to reports, two of the accused allegedly carried out the shooting while the third allegedly helped them flee the scene. All three are reportedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The arrested individuals include a 17-year-old from Sonipat, Haryana; an 18-year-old also from Sonipat, Haryana; and a 22-year-old from Begusarai, Bihar, who reportedly lives in Andheri West, Mumbai and works as a Rapido rider.
Broader Security Concerns
The incident adds to a growing pattern of alleged Lawrence Bishnoi gang-linked threats against Bollywood figures in Mumbai. This comes amid heightened concern over organised crime networks allegedly extending their reach into India's entertainment industry. The attack on Shroff, one of Bollywood's most prominent stars, has amplified calls for a review of celebrity security protocols in the city.
As investigations continue, authorities are expected to probe the full chain of command behind the alleged hit, including who may have commissioned the attack and whether further threats exist.
