He reminisced about his initial days in the industry while filming the series Fauji, which featured Shah Rukh Khan. At the awards ceremony, Ravi shared a heartwarming and humorous story that highlighted why Shah Rukh Khan is celebrated as King Khan. "He is truly one of the best actors," Ravi expressed before recounting, 'I was part of an army film featuring Shah Rukh called Fauji.'
As he looked at Shah Rukh, Ravi Kishan remarked, 'Shah Rukh sir, your journey is an inspiration.' He recalled a day during the filming of Fauji when Shah Rukh was suffering from a high fever of 103 degrees. Back then, he resided in the Amrit building on Carter Road." Turning to the audience, Ravi Kishan continued, 'I want to share a story of how one becomes King Khan.' He mentioned that they were a group of five young men: Ronik, himself, Sudesh Beri, Monish Bahl, and Harish. Despite his high fever, Shah Rukh remained committed to his role.
The actor elaborated on how, despite his illness, Shah Rukh was unwavering in his dedication. "The shoot also featured Sridevi ma'am, who was also unwell, yet had to stay home. But Shah Rukh showed up on set, monitored the shots, and completed his scenes. His passion back then was extraordinary and remains unmatched today."
He further noted, "We, the rest of the cast, were tall and full of energy, often questioning what Shah Rukh would do. But witnessing his dedication revealed his true passion for acting. It became clear to us why he is Shah Rukh Khan today."
Describing him as a genuine gentleman, Ravi stated, "Shah Rukh remains humble and does not let praise go to his head, which is what truly makes him King Khan."
Ravi Kishan, who has appeared in over 750 films, also reflected on his long-anticipated Filmfare win. "I didn’t attend for 33 years. I stayed active in the industry but didn’t step on the Filmfare stage. I promised myself I would go when I got nominated, and that day has finally arrived," he said with emotion.
The actor, who received the Filmfare award for his film Laapata Ladies, concluded by thanking the audience and invoking his faith by reciting the Mahadev Shlok.
