She wrote, “Mumbai, 1992. Film "Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar Ke". I shot with Aamir for a film titled "Time Machine", directed by Shekhar Kapur; unfortunately, the project was never completed. Soon after, I received a call from Tahir Hussain ji regarding this film.” She continued, “I was thrilled to be part of a project helmed by Mahesh Bhatt ji, and the cast was remarkable. However, my excitement was short-lived as Bhatt Saab informed me that I was to play a negative role, which I was initially hesitant about. He encouraged me to hear the narration before making a decision.”
Navneet recounted, “I received a captivating narration from Robin Bhatt at the Filmistan studio, and I instantly fell in love with the script, leading me to accept the role. The shooting commenced, and I was somewhat intimidated working alongside stars like Bhatt Saab, Aamir, and Juhi.
She elaborated, “There were moments I felt nervous, but I mustered all my courage to perform. This experience turned out to be one of the highlights of my career. I was particularly inspired by Aamir and subconsciously absorbed many lessons in professionalism from him.” Navneet reminisced, “Upon release, the film became a colossal success, and I was ecstatic, but it also led to me being typecast, with vamp roles dominating my offers thereafter. Nevertheless, I was fortunate to collaborate with Aamir in three more films. He has been one of the finest co-stars—professional, genuine, approachable, compassionate, and a prankster.
