Mumbai, June 15 (NationPress) Actress Richa Chadha celebrated her husband Ali Fazal's first Father’s Day on Sunday, following the arrival of their daughter Zuneyra Ida Fazal in July of the previous year.
On her official Instagram, Richa shared a collection of adorable pictures showing Ali embracing his fatherly role with their little girl. She expressed, "You’re doing a fantastic job! And just so you know, you’ll set the standard for other dads… no pressure! But truly, well done @alifazal9! Happy first Father’s Day to you!"
Additionally, Richa extended her congratulations to the cast and crew of Fukrey on their movie's 12th anniversary.
Her heartfelt message included, "And cheers to 12 years of Fukrey for everyone involved. That’s my dad, who prefers not to be recognized as my dad. Father’s Day, similar to various other man-made celebrations, is a marketing phenomenon that started in America. We’ll go along with it, but no gifts, alright? Pita ji diwas."
Previously, Ali commemorated the 12-year milestone of Fukrey with a special post.
He shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the film's production, captioning it, “12 years ago, we burst onto the scene. A huge thank you to the team at @excelmovies and of course @ritesh_sid & @faroutakhtar for supporting a bunch of quirky individuals like us… on a project like this. Here’s to many more significant moments in history. To @mriglamba: I owe you a lot. More than just for ‘Fukrey’.”
Fukrey later spawned two sequels, Fukrey Returns and Fukrey 3.
For those unfamiliar, Richa and Ali initially met and fell for each other while filming the cult classic. They made their relationship public in 2017 when they attended the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of Ali's Hollywood film Victoria and Abdul.
The couple finally wed in an interfaith ceremony in October 2022.
