Mumbai, Nov 27 (NationPress) Actress Rukmini Vasanth, celebrated for her role in the recently released ‘Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1’, has opened up about her cherished films across various genres. A standout in her collection is the iconic Farah Khan film ‘Om Shanti Om’.

The life of Rukmini Vasanth is filled with long shooting hours, costume adjustments, and scripts demanding her full concentration. Yet, amidst the hectic atmosphere, she discovers time for those small pleasures that keep her grounded. Whether it's sketching during breaks, revisiting beloved childhood comics, rewatching films she knows by heart, or playing tunes that resonate with her mood, the actress has a myriad of methods to refresh her mind.

Reflecting on her routine, she mentioned, “One habit I’ve developed is concentrating solely on one task while on set. Phones can distract. Therefore, I sometimes journal or sketch. Sketching is beneficial because, for those few minutes, you intensely focus on one object without emotionally drifting from your character.”

When reminiscing about her youth, she fondly recalled her days spent with Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle comics. “I would perform as Supandi for people; I suppose they humorously entertained a five-year-old who said, ‘Supandi walks here, Supandi looks there’,” she reminisced.

Her comfort films reveal much about her personality. She proudly identifies as a “big re-watcher.” For gripping narratives, she turns to Dark. For laughs, Derry Girls is her go-to. And for a touch of nostalgia and warmth, it’s always Om Shanti Om.

“It affectionately pokes fun at the industry, devoid of cynicism. I discover something new each time,” she remarked.

As she gears up for ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups’ alongside Yash and a highly awaited project with Jr NTR, Rukmini's career is entering an exhilarating chapter. Yet, amidst grandeur, spectacle, and back-to-back filming, she clings to her favorite things.
