Mumbai, Nov 27 (NationPress) Renowned Bollywood icon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, accompanied by her spouse Abhishek Bachchan, attended the prayer meet honoring the memory of the late cinematic legend Dharmendra.
Also spotted at the prayer meet venue in Mumbai on November 27 was Bollywood sensation Salman Khan. Abhishek and Salman were among the first celebrities to arrive at the crematorium to extend their final tributes to the beloved star. Abhishek was seen arriving in the company of his father, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan.
On November 24, fellow megastars Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan had come to the crematorium to bid farewell to Dharmendra. Just hours prior, actors Sidharth Malhotra and Abhay Deol made their way to the prayer meet location. Recently, an invitation for the prayer gathering has been making its rounds on social media.
The invitation was intriguingly titled “CELEBRATION OF LIFE” rather than “Prayer Meet.” It further included, “Dharmendra, 8 December 1935 – 24 November 2025, November 27, 2025, 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm,” along with the venue details. Sources suggest that the Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam will perform songs in tribute to Dharmendra during this special gathering.
On November 25, just a day after Dharmendra's passing, numerous significant personalities from the film industry visited the Deol family residence to express their condolences. Among those seen were Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan, Rekha, Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Jackky Bhagnani, Rakul Preet Singh, Ajay Devgn, and Allu Arjun's father, Allu Aravind.
For context, Dharmendra departed from this world on November 24, leaving the nation in mourning. He was 89 years old and would have celebrated his 90th birthday on December 8 this year.
