New Delhi, Nov 27 (NationPress) Farmers participating in the ninth EIMA Agrimanch India 2025 expressed that the enhancements in electricity supply, MSP increases, and prompt disbursement of benefits from government initiatives have significantly bolstered agricultural earnings over the past 11 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ashok Kumar Khatri, a farmer from Narela, Delhi, remarked that the initiatives rolled out by the Union government are yielding tangible results on the ground.

He further mentioned that payments related to agricultural activities and pensions are being deposited punctually.

Khatri highlighted that the GST reforms have lowered input costs; goods that previously cost Rs 1 lakh are now available for approximately Rs 90,000, benefiting both farmers and consumers.

At the ongoing fair held at the Pusa campus, Khatri noted that farmers are being introduced to various seeds, food products, and agricultural tools, which he believes will significantly enhance their farming practices.

Kankshit Singh, a farmer from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, shared that the consistent electricity supply has made a remarkable impact. He recalled frequent power outages in earlier years that disrupted farming schedules.

With a stable supply now, farmers can irrigate their fields timely, thereby improving productivity, he stated.

Rukman Saran from Churu, Rajasthan, mentioned that subsidies are now being credited directly into farmers' bank accounts.

He emphasized that this is a crucial step, particularly for small-scale farmers.

Saran characterized the government as “farmer-friendly”.

Ranbir Khatri from Narela affirmed that through the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually.

He noted that MSPs for wheat and paddy have increased over the years, leading to higher farm incomes.

According to Rahul Chauhan, a farmer from Hapur, large-scale events like EIMA Agrimach are raising awareness among farmers and promoting greater engagement from younger generations in agriculture.
