Kohima, Nov 27 (NationPress) The Indian Army, in partnership with an automobile company, has initiated the Hornbill Motor Rally-2025 from the Zakhama Military Station in the Kohima district of Nagaland on Thursday, as confirmed by officials.

A defence spokesperson stated that this week-long expedition aims to enhance civil-military relations in Nagaland and the broader Northeast region. The rally promotes peace, unity, and national integration through adventure and cultural engagement.

Flagged off by the General Officer Commanding of the Red Shield Division, the event was attended by Army officials, local dignitaries, and youth volunteers, symbolizing the collaboration between the Armed Forces and the people of Nagaland.

This year's rally theme, “Harmonising Adventure with Peace – Celebrating the Spirit of Hornbill”, draws inspiration from the Hornbill Festival, which celebrates courage, culture, and camaraderie.
