New Delhi/Bengaluru, Nov 27 (NationPress) As he prepares for his trip to Udupi in Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his deep honor to participate in the Laksha Kantha Gita event in this revered temple town.

On the social media platform X, PM Modi stated, "It is a privilege for me to visit the Udupi Sri Krishna Matha and engage in the Laksha Kantha Gita Parayana program."

He remarked, "This remarkable occasion unites individuals from diverse backgrounds to recite the Gita. The Matha carries immense significance in our cultural heritage, and under the inspiration of Sri Madhvacharya, it has consistently worked for societal welfare," the Prime Minister noted.

It is noteworthy that the Sri Krishna Matha in Udupi was founded over 800 years ago by Madhvacharya, the pioneer of the Advaita philosophy of Vedanta.
