New Delhi, Nov 28 (NationPress) - The President of Delhi BJP, Virendra Sachdeva, launched a pointed criticism on Friday against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, accusing them of disseminating falsehoods and constructing a misleading narrative regarding pollution in the city.

Sachdeva expressed disbelief at the simultaneous concern voiced by both leaders about escalating pollution levels, which has left the residents of Delhi questioning the motives behind their sudden interest.

He suggested that this newfound focus on pollution from both leaders serves as a distraction from the lackluster performance of their parties in the recent Bihar Assembly elections.

The Delhi BJP President pointed out that Rahul Gandhi's post on the social media platform X expressing worries over pollution came after he had a meeting with a group of concerned mothers.

In a similar vein, AAP leaders had made political statements regarding pollution after meeting with a delegation of anxious mothers.

Sachdeva emphasized that the residents of Delhi recognize that the recurring pollution problem stems from the governance of the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress, who have held power for the past 25 years.

He stated, “These governments not only failed to implement effective measures to combat pollution but also neglected to conduct studies to identify the primary sources of pollution in Delhi.”

The Delhi BJP President also remarked that citizens are bewildered by former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's comments on pollution, expressing a desire to know what concrete actions his administration undertook during its decade in power while pollution levels continued to escalate.

Sachdeva noted that the contrast between the previous AAP government and the current BJP administration in terms of pollution control is stark.

While AQI levels typically deteriorated every November and December over the last decade, this year, thanks to the initiatives of the BJP government, the AQI has improved daily in November compared to the previous year.

Alarmed by the recent improvements in pollution levels, AAP leaders have begun making unfounded allegations that the BJP government is manipulating AQI data.

Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor stated that Kejriwal's sudden focus on the GST on air purifiers indicates a lack of seriousness regarding the issue.

Kapoor added that when Kejriwal was in charge, he engaged in scams concerning the installation of smog towers, jeopardizing the lives of ordinary citizens.

Now that AAP is no longer in power, Kejriwal is inexplicably concerned about the GST on air purifiers — but why?

Kapoor urged the citizens of Delhi to question Kejriwal about who among the general public actually utilizes air purifiers for him to show such concern about the GST imposed on them.
