New Delhi, Sep 7 (NationPress) The President of Delhi BJP, Virendra Sachdeva, criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal for his failure to assist flood victims in both Delhi and Punjab, accusing him of engaging in political theatrics on social media.
“As Punjab grapples with devastating floods and residents near the Yamuna river in Delhi face distress, AAP leaders Kejriwal and Delhi's Opposition Leader Atishi are focused on petty political tweets that have astonished the public across the nation,” stated Sachdeva.
He emphasized that Kejriwal’s lack of compassion is clear as he prioritizes political propaganda in Gujarat over aiding those suffering in Punjab.
Similarly, Atishi is too preoccupied with making statements rather than organizing relief for the people, an act that will not be forgotten by the citizens of Delhi.
Sachdeva pointed out that the flood-affected regions along the Yamuna, which include Burari, Chandni Chowk, and Okhla, all have AAP MLAs, yet none are seen coordinating any relief efforts.
He demanded that both Kejriwal and Atishi account for the absence of their MLAs in assisting the residents near the flooded Yamuna.
After dispatching 52 trucks laden with relief supplies for the flood victims in Punjab, Sachdeva stated, “Our commitment to service drives us to send these materials.”
“This is not merely a favor but a demonstration of humanity during times of crisis. Our Chief Minister has also contributed Rs 5 crore to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Fund,” he added.
Sachdeva revealed that while rations are available, there is a scarcity of resources for storage and preparation.
“In addition to utensils, we are sending mosquito nets, blankets, tarpaulins, medicines, shoes, and other essential items today. This is our initiative for the people of Punjab, who play a crucial role as the nation’s food providers and border protectors,” he mentioned.
“The trucks will head to Jalandhar, from where the goods will be distributed to the areas in need,” he concluded.
