New Delhi, Oct 5 (NationPress) In light of a tragic incident in south Delhi's Mehrauli, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has labeled Aam Aadmi Party leaders as “vultures” for their attempts to gain media attention through unfounded claims and videos aimed at politicizing unfortunate events.

“The insensitive political reactions from AAP leaders regarding human tragedies are a clear indication of their lack of empathy. Whether it’s Sanjeev Jha or Saurabh Bhardwaj, their comments reveal that they are not acting as political representatives but rather as political vultures,” stated Sachdeva.

He referred to a recently circulated video concerning an individual who remains missing after a rain-related incident.

The Delhi BJP President criticized AAP leader and MLA Sanjeev Jha for making the unfounded claim that if the net on a Municipal Corporation of Delhi drain hadn’t been removed by the orders of Delhi Water Minister Pravesh Sahib Singh, the missing individual would have been saved.

Sachdeva asserted that Jha’s statement is “utterly false”.

He pointed out that video evidence and images of Water Minister Parvesh Verma inspecting Mehrauli days before the accident show that there was no net on the drain at the time of his visit, as it had been removed by AAP Councillor Rekha Mahendra Chaudhary.

Sachdeva mentioned that BJP MLA from Mehrauli, Gajendra Yadav, is in touch with the victim’s family and has filed a missing person report at their request, ensuring that the missing individual receives the necessary MCD assistance following the investigation.

Furthermore, the Delhi BJP President criticized Jha's baseless remarks regarding the tragic drowning of a BJP office bearer near Sonia Vihar, indicating that he is more of a political opportunist than a genuine public representative.

His assertion that delays in rescuing our late colleague Kuldeep Nainwal were to blame reveals his lack of sensitivity, he emphasized.

Sachdeva noted that the water level at the accident scene was dangerously high, and the swift current posed considerable challenges for local emergency services during the rescue operation.

He also stated that AAP leader Bhardwaj is more focused on disseminating misleading videos on Twitter than on genuine political or social work.

If only Saurabh Bhardwaj and other AAP leaders could understand that their false statements in media and social media cost them power, he concluded.

The Delhi BJP chief asserted that even post their loss of power, AAP leaders continue to spread confusion, which could soon jeopardize their status as the opposition party.

In another matter, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor stated that the Delhi Congress is completely out of touch with the city’s residents, and its “Vote Chori” campaign in Badarpur is merely a façade to appease its leader Rahul Gandhi.

Kapoor emphasized that the frequent attacks on the Election Commission of India and the nation's electoral integrity by Rahul Gandhi and his party members are alienating Congress from the public.
