Los Angeles, May 25 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Rumer Willis clearly recalls the precise moment she fell in love with the film industry.
The actress took a nostalgic journey and revealed that it was on the set of 'Striptease' where she realized that showbiz was her true calling, according to reports from Female First UK.
At just 36 years old, Rumer starred alongside her mother, Demi Moore, in the 1996 film and cherished the experience of being on a film set at such a young age, admitting that she “loved every second” of the production.
She expressed to People magazine, “I was just so enamoured and kind of like, ‘What is this world? What’s going on here?’”
Rumer fondly recalls dancing in her mother’s shoes during breaks. She stated, “I loved the costumes. During lunch sometimes I would go try and put my mom's shoes on and a feather boa and dance around the stage.”
According to Female First UK, Demi portrayed an FBI secretary-turned-stripper in the film, and Rumer still vividly remembers her mother filming several provocative scenes.
She shared, “I was like, oh, there are all these ladies around me all the time. I was just so enamoured.”
Demi, now 62, has previously admitted feeling judged for her role as a stripper in the movie. She defended 'Striptease' against its critics, arguing that she was unfairly treated upon the film's release.
In a conversation with Variety in 2024, Demi remarked, “There was an interesting kind of judgement placed on a woman who worked as a dancer, but the idea was that this was a woman trying to take care of her child in the best way she could.”
Demi, a top-paid actress in the mid-90s, proudly acknowledges her role in “changing the playing field for all women.”
