Mumbai, Dec 14 (NationPress) Television actress Rupali Ganguly has attributed her remarkable success to the show 'Anupamaa', stating that she went without an award for a staggering twenty years prior.
Rupali shared a video on her Instagram stories showcasing a shelf filled with awards she has earned for her role in the hit series 'Anupamaa'.
She expressed, “20 saal ek bhi award nahi mila... ye sab #anupamaa aur @rajanshahi ki den hai (For twenty years, never received a single award… all of these (awards on the shelf) are thanks to Anupamaa and Rajan Shahi.)”
Rupali has frequently discussed her close relationship with Rajan Shahi. On December 3, she took to social media to celebrate the director's birthday.
In an emotional post, she conveyed that she could never refer to Rajan as her 'friend' due to the blurred lines that can occur in friendships, emphasizing the profound respect she holds for him. She included several photos of herself with Rajan alongside a touching message.
Rupali wrote, “From being my director to my producer to becoming an indispensable part of my life... this journey has spanned 24 years, especially since you brought Anupamaa into my life 4 years ago... From nearly becoming a has-been actor to providing me with this incredible platform and recognition….”
She continued, “From me taking 10 steps back to you propelling me 20 steps forward… from continually teaching me about life… treating me like a child… helping me recognize my strength… making me stand tall… to having unwavering faith that no matter what, YOU have my back always… I am immensely grateful to you. Anupamaa is not just a show anymore… it is an emotion called Rajan Shahi.”
“I could never call you my friend because in friendship, the lines become blurred, and the respect I have for you is immense.
