Rupali Ganguly Shares Her Beloved Dish: ‘Street Cart Delight’

Mumbai, Dec 21 (NationPress) Famous television actress Rupali Ganguly has disclosed her favorite dish, which is roasted ‘shakarkandi’ (sweet potato).
Rupali took to her Instagram stories, sharing a video of herself with a plate of roasted sweet potato, stating: “I absolutely adore shakarkandi… Aur yeh jo bhuni hui shakarkandi jo raaste main thele par milti hai is the ultimate. It is simply delicious. With all the spices added… Yummy.”
As one of India's highest-paid television actresses, Rupali is recognized for her roles as Monisha Sarabhai in the sitcom “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai” and Anupamaa Joshi in the drama “Anupamaa”.
She began her acting journey as a child, debuting at the age of seven in her father’s film “Saaheb” in 1985. Her career breakthrough came with her role as Dr. Simran Chopra in the medical drama series “Sanjivani: A Medical Boon”. In 2006, she participated in Bigg Boss 1.
Earlier this month, Rupali attributed her success to the show “Anupamaa”, stating that prior to this, she had not won any awards for twenty years.
She shared a video on her Instagram stories showcasing a rack filled with awards she has received for her performance in “Anupamaa”.
“For twenty years, I never received a single award… all these awards on the rack are thanks to Anupamaa and Rajan Shahi,” she remarked.
Rupali also expressed her gratitude towards Rajan Shahi. On December 3, she celebrated the director’s birthday.
In her heartfelt message, she wrote, “From being my director to my producer to becoming a vital part of my life… the transition has spanned 24 years, especially since Anupamaa came into my life four years ago… From nearly becoming a forgotten actor to receiving this massive platform and recognition….”
She continued, “From taking 10 steps back to you pushing me 20 steps forward… from constantly teaching me about life… treating me like a child… showing me my strength… making me stand tall… to having my unwavering faith that you will always have my back… I am so incredibly grateful to you. Anupamaa is not just a show anymore; for me, it represents an emotion called Rajan Shahi.
“I could never refer to you as my friend because the respect I hold for you is immense. So here’s wishing my mentor, the master storyteller, a very Happy Birthday… May you be blessed with health, happiness, and peace always.”
