Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chennai, April 17 (NationPress) Actor S J Suryah, who has garnered significant acclaim for his role in director Vignesh Shivan's newly released film 'Love Insurance Kompany', revealed that the initial admirers of his distinctive mannerism while saying the film's title were Ulag and Uyir, the children of actress Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan.
During a recent thanksgiving event organized by the film's team, S J Suryah was prompted by the host to repeat the film's name, 'Love Insurance Kompany', in the same way he did on-screen.
S J Suryah, who leads the company in the film 'Love Insurance Kompany', raises both arms above his head, mimicking a victorious gesture every time he mentions the word 'Kompany'.
Chuckling, the actor acknowledged that this mannerism has gained immense popularity, with many fans approaching him in real life, asking him to reenact it repeatedly.
He elaborated on how he conceived this now-iconic gesture for the film and mentioned that the children of director Vignesh Shivan were the first to embrace this mannerism.
S J Suryah explained, "The title was modified to 'Love Insurance Kompany' due to earlier spelling issues. When Vignesh Shivan said 'Kompany', it invoked thoughts of 'Kombu' (which means the horns of a bull in Tamil). The horns symbolize the beauty and pride of a bull. Hence, I raise my arms to signify horns every time I mention 'Kompany'."
"The initial fans of my gesture were Ulag and Uyir. They would say, 'Uncle, 'Kompany'' and mimic my movements. It was then that I understood this mannerism would resonate with many," he shared.
