Key Takeaways
Mumbai, April 7 (NationPress) The renowned Bollywood icon Salman Khan has publicly expressed his support for Rajpal Yadav following an incident of alleged humiliation at a recent awards ceremony.
On Tuesday, the superstar took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) to share an extensive message praising Rajpal's talent and the significant contribution he makes to the film industry.
He stated, “Rajpal bhai, aap 30 saal se kaam kar rahe ho aur hum sabne aapko baar-baar dekha hai kyunki aap apna kaam jante ho aur ek value laate ho. Aapko kaafi kaam milega aur yeh dollar rate par milega aur milta rahega. Yeh haqeeqat hai. Aur yaad rahe, kabhi kabhi kuch baatein flow mein nikal aati hain, agar dena hai toh dimaag mein rakho aur dil se kaam karo. Dollar upar ho ya neeche, iska kya farak padta hai, aapki mehnat ki keemat India mein hi milegi @rajpalofficial (You have been working for 30 years and we have all seen you repeatedly because you know your craft and add value. You will receive ample work, and it will be at this dollar rate, continuously. This is the truth. Remember, sometimes things come out in the flow; if you have to give, keep it in mind and work from the heart; whether the dollar is high or low, it doesn’t matter, your remuneration will be given in India).”
During the awards show, the host made a derogatory comment regarding Rajpal Yadav's financial irregularities, saying, “Dollar ka rate kitna bhi upar neeche ho, aapko paise utne hi vapas lautaane hain (No matter how the dollar rate fluctuates, you must return the same amount of money).”
Rajpal Yadav faced conviction in a cheque bounce case by the Delhi High Court. The actor was accused of defaulting on repayment by Murli Projects Pvt Ltd.
Recently, the court inquired if he had taken the loan, to which he replied affirmatively. The court mentioned that he was given multiple opportunities but failed to comply. Rajpal Yadav stated that in 2016, it was determined that he owed Rs 10 crore 40 lakh. He presented documentation of a friend's property valued at Rs 28 crore, asserting that he had provided the funds.
The actor claimed that the other party was not interested in the money but rather sought his imprisonment. He argued that after serving his sentence, the matter should conclude as he has legally complied. He also clarified that Rs 22 crore was spent on the film, contrary to the other party's claim of Rs 5 crore.
