Mumbai, Feb 5 (NationPress) Television actress Samiksha Jaiswal has shared her experiences about taking on a negative character for the first time in the series "Ram Bhavan."
In a candid interview with IANS, the 'Zindagi Ki Mehek' star expressed her enthusiasm for portraying a powerful and multifaceted role. Samiksha discussed the hurdles of embracing antagonistic characters and conveyed her joy upon witnessing the outcome on screen.
Regarding her character, Jaiswal stated, “I’m the villain! I’m the villain of the show. However, I consider myself a very logical villain. Honestly, I’m feeling a bit nervous. This is my inaugural negative role, and it’s quite impactful. But I have no regrets. Now that I see myself on screen, I believe it looks really impressive.”
Samiksha also elaborated on the significance of portraying the strong and unconventional character of Gayatri and pondered if this role would alter her image in the industry.
“I’m not sure about that. I think I began with Mehak, and people still refer to me as Mehak. Therefore, I feel that image will always linger. But I see it as adding new achievements—venturing into diverse characters. I didn’t want to be typecast, so I thought, why not explore a negative role?” the actress expressed.
When asked about her belief in luck, Samiksha remarked, “We’ve put in a lot of effort, yet I do believe in luck. Every show has its own destiny, and I hope this one succeeds. It’s all about blessings. May God grant us success.”
She further mentioned that the positive atmosphere on set plays a crucial role in the success of any project. “The vibe on set is incredibly positive. Our producers and team are exceptional. When the energy is uplifting, the show thrives,” she stated.
Samiksha Jaiswal, who made her television debut in 2016 with Zee TV's "Zindagi Ki Mehek" as Mehak Sharma, has been a recognized figure on television since then. In 2019, she portrayed Noor Hassan Qureshi in "Bahu Begum" on Colors TV, followed by her role as Sugandha Singh in Dangal TV's "Control Room" in 2022.
After a three-year hiatus from television, Jaiswal made her comeback with "Ram Bhavan," where she plays Gayatri.
