Mumbai, Sep 1 (NationPress) Actor Sanjay Choudhary is making his way back to Happu Ki Ultan Paltan in the role of Kamlesh's twin brother, Sonu. Reflecting on his return, he expressed gratitude, stating that his current success is largely due to this show and the supportive team behind it.
Elated about embracing this new character, Sanjay remarked: “I am genuinely thrilled and touched by the overwhelming affection from fans since I rejoined the show. The messages and comments I’ve received truly mean the world to me. This show and the amazing team have played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today.”
“When I got the call from the production team a few days back, I was filled with joy and appreciation, as it was the same group I had collaborated with for five years.”
In contrast to his easy-going brother Kamlesh, Sonu is portrayed as sincere, humble, and reserved, often avoiding the limelight. Interestingly, he harbors a secret admiration for the bold and spirited Malaika, whose fiery character inspires him despite her dismissive attitude towards him.
He added: “Returning in a fresh avatar as Sonu feels incredibly special, and I am committed to giving my all to ensure I meet my fans’ expectations. Although Sonu’s personality starkly contrasts Kamlesh's, I believe the audience will find him both humorous and endearing.”
“He has a bit of a nerdy charm—he speaks with a rural accent, struggles with English, but his innocent nature, dancing skills, and quirky relationship with Malaika will surely entertain everyone,” shared the actor.
Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, produced by Edit II Productions, is a spinoff of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! The series showcases Happu Singh, a police officer in Kanpur, alongside his large family, including his wife Rajesh Singh, mother Katori, and their nine children.
The narrative follows Happu Singh's misadventures, complicated by the constant bickering between his wife and mother, alongside the antics of his best friend Beni. Their children—Katori 'Kat', Mallai 'Malaika', Ranbir, Hritik, Chamchi, Ayushman, and three infants—add to the comedic chaos.
Happu Ki Ultan Paltan airs on &TV.
