Chennai, Feb 26 (NationPress) In the upcoming horror comedy ‘DD Next Level’, actor Santhanam takes on the role of a film reviewer, while producer Ravindar Chandrasekaran portrays a film producer, all under the direction of S Prem Anand.
On Wednesday, the film's creators unveiled a humorous track titled Kissa 47. The song starts with producer Ravinder boldly challenging reviewer Santhanam to critique his film Violence, set to premiere the following day. The comedic melody then delves into the reviewer's perspective on the film.
Santhanam, who stars in the film, shared the single on his X timeline, stating, “A chapter from the life of a Thug Film Reviewer - #Kissa47. Enjoyed creating this song and vibing to it! DD Next Level – Devil’s Double, marks the next chapter in the highly successful Dhillukku Duddu (DD) series, featuring Santhanam in the lead role once again.
This time, directors Gautham Vasudev Menon and Selvaraghavan will also play significant roles.
Produced by Niharika Entertainment and The Show People with a substantial budget, the film is presented by actor Arya.
S. Prem Anand, who directed 'DD Returns', is at the helm of this new project as well.
Earlier, director Prem Anand mentioned, "DD Returns was incredibly successful, receiving overwhelming response from audiences of all ages. We dedicated a year to perfecting the script for its sequel. This film promises to be just as funny and enjoyable for everyone."
He revealed that the plot would commence on a cruise ship and transition to an island setting. “We constructed sets with a substantial budget. It’s fantastic that Niharika Entertainment, actor Arya, and Santhanam teamed up for this film. It is set to be even more thrilling and humorous than 'DD Returns'. The movie aims to deliver a delightful experience for fans across all age brackets,” he said.
Cinematography for 'DD Next Level' is managed by Dipak Kumar Padhy, with music composed by Ofro. Editing is overseen by Bharath, and AR Mohan is responsible for the film’s art direction.
