Chennai, Oct 3 (NationPress) Acclaimed music director Santhosh Narayanan has officially embarked on one of his long-held aspirations — the creation of an ultra-transparent, cost-effective music streaming platform based in India, accessible to music enthusiasts worldwide.

In a recent post on his X timeline, Santhosh Narayanan shared, "Initiating one of my dream projects today. Developing an ultra-transparent and affordable music streaming platform from India for music lovers across the globe. Expect a remarkable lineup of legendary artists and emerging talents on this platform."

The renowned music director, recognized for his advocacy of independent musicians, added, "We will prioritize artist compensation and affordable subscription plans (if any). This platform will be developed, managed, and delivered right from India. Additionally, we plan to host hackathons to discover promising young talent, hoping to see them shine in administration roles. I appreciate all the love over the years, and this will be my way of bringing joy to your lives. Oru nalla name suggest pannunga (please suggest a good name...)."

Considered one of the leading music directors in the Tamil film industry, Santhosh Narayanan most recently composed for director Pandiraj's 'Thalaivan Thalaivi', featuring stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen. Before that, he created music for director Karthik Subbaraj's 'Retro', starring Suriya and Pooja Hegde.

It is worth noting that last year, Santhosh Narayanan established his own venture, Rakitaa Entertainment.

Upon launching the enterprise, he expressed, "I moved to Chennai in 2004 as a 20-year-old musician, eager to make my mark in the music industry. For nearly a decade, I sought opportunities, navigating numerous challenges to showcase my talent. Those early struggles ultimately paved the way for my career as a film composer."

He further stated, "Through this journey, I recognized the need for a platform that would fast-track the careers of deserving musicians, helping them avoid the lengthy waits and hardships I faced. This vision has now come to fruition with Rakitaa Entertainment, a project I've been developing for the past two to three years."

The music director, who launched Rakitaa Entertainment on his wedding anniversary, emphasized, "Rakitaa Entertainment is committed to prioritizing musicians, ensuring transparency in ownership, payments, and ongoing support. We are also in the process of establishing a state-of-the-art studio to empower our artists, serving as their creative playground."
