Chennai, Dec 22 (NationPress) Renowned music composer Santhosh Narayanan, who is on a mission to create an ultra-transparent and affordable music streaming platform from India accessible to music lovers worldwide, has raised alarms about the unrealistic expectations that new artists are imposing on themselves.

In a recent post on his X account, he expressed, "I have received a plethora of emails and messages from numerous emerging artists and performers from the Indie scene over the past few months since the announcement of my music company. Many of the expectations they have established are quite concerningly unrealistic."

He continued, "To all the future stars and legends out there, it is completely acceptable to be unknown, irrelevant, or not a topic of any significant discussion, as long as the work you create embodies integrity to your true artistic desires. Every piece of art eventually finds its audience."

For those unaware, in October of this year, Santhosh Narayanan announced the initiation of his dream project—a music streaming platform.

He shared this news on X, stating, "Kicking off one of my dream projects today. Developing a transparent and affordable music streaming platform from India for anyone in the world who enjoys music. Expect a remarkable lineup of legendary artists and rising superstars on this platform."

Known for his support of independent musicians, he added, "We will prioritize artist payouts and affordable subscription models (if applicable). This platform will be built, operated, and managed from India. We also plan to host hackathon events to discover deserving young talent whom we envision at the forefront of the industry. Thank you for your support over the years; this initiative is my contribution to spread joy in your lives. Oru nalla name suggest pannunga (suggest a good name...)."

Santhosh Narayanan is recognized as one of the leading music directors in the Tamil film industry, having composed for several prominent films, including director Pandiraj's 'Thalaivan Thalaivi', starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen, and Karthik Subbaraj's 'Retro', featuring Suriya and Pooja Hegde.

It's worth noting that last year, Santhosh Narayanan started his own venture called Rakitaa Entertainment.

Upon launching the venture, he stated, "I arrived in Chennai in 2004 as a 20-year-old musician, eager to make my mark in the music industry. After nearly a decade of navigating through challenges and waiting for opportunities, I faced numerous struggles to showcase my skills. Those early difficulties paved the way for my career as a film composer."

He added, "Through this journey, I recognized the necessity for a platform that accelerates the careers of talented musicians, helping them bypass the lengthy waits and hardships I endured. This vision has now come to fruition as Rakitaa Entertainment, a project I've been cultivating for the last two to three years."

The music director, who launched Rakitaa Entertainment on his wedding anniversary, remarked, "Rakitaa Entertainment is committed to prioritizing musicians, ensuring transparency regarding ownership, payments, and long-term support. We are also in the process of establishing a state-of-the-art studio to empower our artists to use as a creative haven."
