Mumbai, March 26 (NationPress) Actor Saqib Saleem, who recently appeared in the streaming horror-comedy film ‘Kakuda’, has crafted a poignant poem.
On Wednesday, the actor shared a video on his Instagram where he recites the poem against a backdrop of the bustling city. The visuals portray him traversing various locations in the metropolis, including a railway station and a beach, while he contemplates human existence and one’s place in the vast universe.
He expressed in Hindi, “Who am I? What am I? Why am I? What is my identity? Do I even exist or not? Do I see anyone? Maybe I have lost my way? Then I am nothing unique; am I just part of the crowd? I can't do this, I can't do this, and hearing this makes me question myself. But who am I, what do I desire, and why am I avoiding my ambitions? What lies within me? Are these aspirations or frustrations?”
He continued, “Who belongs to me? These days, even the special ones have a certain odor; why is there anger, from whom, what are these dreams, and whose dreams are these? Be your own God. There is nothing to hear, but keep in mind, you are the hero of your journey. So now open your eyes and don’t fret; there’s nothing in ‘I’, you're not God, you’re merely his error.”
In the caption, he also advised his audience to use headphones for an enhanced experience.
He wrote, “It might sound better with headphones. The key word here being might. I have been writing a lot lately.”
“Not that I consider myself a poet. However, I enjoy jotting down my thoughts. I thought of sharing this with you all. I’d love to hear your opinions,” he added.
