Mumbai, Dec 26 (NationPress) Actress Sara Ali Khan has revealed insights regarding the knife attack on her father, actor Saif Ali Khan, that took place earlier this January. She mentioned that the family faced an incredibly difficult phase at the start of the year.
During a discussion on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast titled “ALL ABOUT HER”, both Sharmila and Sara shared their experiences. Soha inquired about the lessons they have learned from each other.
Sara stated: “I have learned that dignity and grace are paramount, even in the most challenging times. As a family, we have undergone a lot together, especially earlier this year with abba (Saif Ali Khan).”
In January, Saif was attacked with a knife by an intruder at his Mumbai residence during an alleged robbery attempt, resulting in multiple stab wounds to his back and arm. He required surgery but ultimately made a full recovery.
Sara noted: “But I think just holding herself together and not allowing that to define her is something I admire.”
When discussing what she admires about her grandmother Sharmila Tagore, Sara remarked: “I find that badhi ammi is very dignified, and that’s a quality I aspire to embody.”
As for Sara, the daughter of Saif and Amrita Singh, she was recently seen in Metro... In Dino, a spiritual follow-up to Basu's 2007 anthology film Life in a... Metro. The film features a talented ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
The storyline weaves together multiple contemporary love stories set against the backdrop of urban India, delving into themes of connection, loneliness, and emotional vulnerability in today’s relationships. The film's title is thematically linked to the song 'In Dino' from the previous film 'Life in a...Metro'.
Sara is eagerly preparing to star alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi in “Pati Patni Aur Woh Do”.
