Mumbai, Oct 25 (NationPress) Renowned actor Satish Shah, celebrated for his roles in films such as ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’, ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’, ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Om Shanti Om’, and more, has sadly passed away in Mumbai on Saturday. He was 74 years old.
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit shared the heart-wrenching news on his Instagram, posting a photo of the late actor. In a video accompanying the post, he revealed the unfortunate cause of Shah’s passing.
He stated in the video, “I must share this painful news with you. Our friend, an exceptional actor, Satish Shah has left us due to kidney failure. He suddenly fell ill at home and was rushed to Hinduja hospital, Shivaji Park, where he unfortunately succumbed. His remains will be returned to his residence in Bandra.”
“I will keep you updated regarding his funeral arrangements. This is a tremendous loss for our industry. I had the privilege of working extensively with Satish; he was a remarkable individual,” he continued.
A long note was also penned in the caption, indicating, “It is with deep sorrow that I inform you our dear friend and exceptional actor Satish Shah has passed away a few hours ago due to kidney failure. He was rushed to Hinduja hospital where he took his last breath. A significant loss for our industry. Om Shanti.”
