Chennai, Aug 10 (NationPress) Tamil actor and politician Sarath Kumar recently shared that his rakhi sister from Hyderabad has consistently wished him every year on Raksha Bandhan, without fail, for the past 25 years.
He took to his X timeline to share images of his sister tying a rakhi around his wrist.
He expressed, "For the last 25 years, my Rakhi sister Pinky Singh from Hyderabad has sent me her wishes and a rakhi by mail — even when we couldn't see each other face to face. Meeting in person is irreplaceable, regardless of how hectic life becomes. Pinky has always wished the best for me, and I genuinely value that."
Sarath Kumar isn’t the only Tamil celebrity who celebrated Raksha Bandhan this year.
Famous actor Vishal also marked the occasion as his sister Aishwarya surprised him on the sets of his upcoming film, tentatively titled #Vishal35, by tying a rakhi on him.
He shared his thoughts on X, stating, "Belated happy #rakshabandhan to my beloved sister #aishu who surprised me at my shooting location and tied the rakhi, making my day as I got to see my niece #naila after a long time. For context, actor Vishal began filming his 35th movie directed by the renowned Tamil filmmaker Ravi Arasu on August 1 of this year.
This project is being produced by the esteemed R B Choudhary under his famous production house Super Good Films, featuring a remarkable technical crew.
Renowned cinematographer Richard M. Nathan reunites with Vishal after their successful collaboration on the hit film ‘Madha Gaja Raja’. The film also sees the return of the Mark Antony duo of Vishal and G.V. Prakash Kumar, with G.V. Prakash composing the soundtrack. NB Srikanth is responsible for editing, while Durairaj oversees art direction. Costume design is led by Vasuki Bhaskar.
Prominent actress Dushara Vijayan will star as the female lead, marking her first collaboration with Vishal. The cast also features Thambi Ramaiah and Arjai.
