Selena Gomez Discusses Solitude in Hollywood and Extends Support to Those in Need

Los Angeles, Dec 11 (NationPress) Actress-singer Selena Gomez, who has received a nomination for the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, is cherishing the experience.
Additionally, she has addressed the challenges of feeling lonely and isolated in Hollywood, as reported by People magazine.
Regarding her nomination, she shared with People, "I’m overwhelmed, very, very honored and grateful. I can’t wait to see what happens".
Nominated alongside actress-singer Ariana Grande, both stars were seated together at the luncheon held in Los Angeles at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
According to People, both actresses rose to fame as child stars, with Gomez starring in Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place and Grande on Nickelodeon's Victorious.
In her keynote address, Selena highlighted how she has cultivated a sense of community in recent years.
“I know firsthand how isolating this industry can feel at times, but moments like this, and rooms like this, remind me that I'm not alone, and we aren't alone,” she noted, gesturing towards her table where Grande was seated, along with stars like Amy Adams, Pamela Anderson, Awkwafina, Gal Gadot, Rita Wilson, Mila Kunis, and Olivia Wilde.
On the red carpet, Selena mentioned that she stays optimistic despite negative discourse by focusing on the brighter side of life.
“It's humor for me,” she told People. “Some may call it a defense mechanism, but I believe it's an excellent distraction from the chaos. Sharing a laugh with friends or engaging in activities that bring joy is essential.”
For those experiencing loneliness in Hollywood, Selena is eager to lend her support.
“To the young women watching us, please know that you are heard and seen, and your perspective is incredibly valuable. If you ever feel lonely at any gathering, I'm usually on my phone playing some quirky game. Just come over, and I’d love to chat,” she smiled from the stage.
"When we share and unite, we create a ripple effect that extends beyond our individual lives. That's why gatherings like this are crucial; they celebrate our collective achievements while reminding us of the work that lies ahead," she concluded.
