Selena Gomez: Embracing Vulnerability as a Strength

Los Angeles, Dec 2 (NationPress) Singer-actress Selena Gomez asserts that demonstrating vulnerability is one of the strongest things you can do.
In her 2022 documentary film 'Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me', Gomez opened up about her personal struggles and has expressed that she felt a bit anxious about unveiling the project.
The artist, who candidly discussed her physical and mental health challenges in the film, shared with 'CBS Sunday Morning': 'Once I released it, it felt like a huge relief, because I am a firm believer that one of the strongest things you can do is be vulnerable.' She added, 'And that doesn't mean you have to pour your heart out to everyone.'
'However, I made that choice because I knew I wasn't the only one that felt that way. If my world was already out there for everyone to see, I'd like to tell my part of the story. It's a dream what I'm doing.'
In 2022, Gomez founded a charity dedicated to assisting young individuals grappling with mental health challenges. She described this initiative as the 'cherry on top of everything', as reported by femalefirst.co.uk.
The actress stated: 'This is probably the most important thing to me, besides my family. This is the cherry on top of everything.'
Earlier this year, the singer-actress reached billionaire status and recently expressed feeling 'really proud' of her accomplishments.
She mentioned that fame and success have not altered her, yet she remains proud of her career milestones.
When asked about her billionaire status, Selena told The Hollywood Reporter: 'I don’t really pay much attention. I don’t think anything about me has changed. I don’t think that I feel different. I think I’m just really proud. And also, personally, I just don’t think it’s anyone’s business.'
