Mumbai, Dec 22 (NationPress) Actor Shakti Anand recently offered a sneak peek from the beloved sets of the classic television series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, showcasing a candid selfie that highlights the fun and laughter occurring behind the camera.

While the series is renowned for its dramatic storyline, Shakti’s post depicted the playful spirit and camaraderie that existed among the cast off-screen. Portraying Hemant Virani, he took to Instagram to share a series of images featuring himself amidst the show's backdrop.

In his post, he noted: “Selfie breaks on the Kyunki set—drama on screen, madness off screen…”

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 made its debut on July 29, 2025, serving as both a sequel and a reboot of the original series.

Returning to the forefront are Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay, reprising their roles as Tulsi and Mihir Virani. The next generation is represented by Rohit Suchanti, Tanisha Mehta, Shagun Sharma, and Aman Gandhi.

The first iteration of the show premiered in 2008, centering on an ideal daughter-in-law from a pandit family who wed Mihir, the grandson of the affluent business magnate Govardhan Virani. The character of Tulsi Virani was portrayed by Smriti Irani.

Reflecting on his journey, Shakti received the opportunity to join the cast of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi while he was engaged as a medical examiner in Delhi. He also played a blind boy in the telefilm Nayan Jyoti.

In addition, Shakti and his wife Sai Deodhar took part in the inaugural season of the dance show Nach Baliye. He played the role of Shivam in the series Godh Bharaai. His previous works include the daily soap Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, SuperCops vs Supervillains, and he has been featured as Shiv in Gangaa and as Emperor Balakumara in the popular series Tenali Rama.

Most recently, he portrayed Amber Singh in the show Channa Mereya. As of July 2025, he has resumed his role as Advocate Hemant Virani in the spiritual sequel of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
