Mumbai, October 20 (NationPress) – Bollywood star Sharvari, currently filming in Amritsar, shared a piece of her home life on social media, revealing that her mother sent her a package filled with traditional Diwali faral (snacks), a special collection of treats made for the festival.
In her social media stories, the Bunty Aur Babli 2 actress showcased images of a bag overflowing with homemade delights alongside a small, handcrafted paper kandil lantern. She shared, “Aai couriered Diwali faral to me and a baby kandil.”
Another story featured a photo of various Maharashtrian snacks carefully arranged in containers, with the caption “Diwali faral for breakfast.” The image displayed a variety of classic Diwali treats, including chakli (crispy spiral snacks made from gram flour), shankarpali (sweet fried dough), chivda (spiced flattened rice with nuts and raisins), and sev, all of which are essentials in festive homes, particularly in Maharashtra.
The addition of the mini 'kandil' (lantern) brought a heartfelt sentiment. Earlier, during Dussehra, she had shared that she commenced filming for her movie directed by Imtiaz Ali, alongside Vedang Raina. Sharvari had expressed her feelings on social media, noting her absence at home for Saraswati Puja.
She conducted a small puja in her room with her film script, accompanied by a picture of a notebook adorned with fresh hibiscus flowers. She wrote, 'Couldn't be home for Saraswati Puja today, so I did my own little puja with the script in my room.' Happy Dussehra! Vijay Dashmi ki Hardik Shukkam! Excited to start shooting a very special film with an exceptional director and team.”
In June, the film’s announcement was made public, and Sharvari expressed her enthusiasm and gratitude on her feed. “What an incredible surprise to see this announcement happen on my birthday. Best birthday ever! Imtiaz Ali, Sir, I have dreamed of being directed by you since I wanted to be an actor.
This will be an amazing learning experience. It’s an honor to be part of your vision. Thank you for selecting me. It feels incredibly special to join this dream team. Looking forward to this new journey.”
For those unfamiliar, Sharvari made her acting debut in Kabir Khan’s Bunty Aur Babli 2 in 2021, sharing the screen with Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
Despite mixed reviews for the film, Sharvari received praise for her on-screen presence. She will also be featured in “Alpha” alongside Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol.
