Mumbai, Dec 8 (NationPress) ITA founder and actor Shashi Ranjan has voiced his disagreement with Jaya Bachchan’s recent statements regarding the paparazzi culture, which has ignited a significant debate.

In response to the controversy, Ranjan told IANS that he does not concur with Jaya’s views about the paparazzi. During an event marking the ITA Awards' 25-year milestone in the industry, the producer remarked, “It was Jaya Bachchan’s perspective, and I fundamentally disagree with her stance.”

Recently, Ameesha Patel came forward to support the paparazzi, lauding their unwavering dedication and hard work. In a conversation with IANS, she expressed her deep affection for the paparazzi and media personnel, describing them as exceptionally committed. The ‘Gadar 2’ actress emphasized that regardless of the weather or conditions, the paparazzi consistently fulfill their responsibilities with integrity.

When asked about Jaya Bachchan’s recent comments on the paparazzi, Ameesha responded, “Everyone is entitled to their perspective. However, I adore the paparazzi. I appreciate you, media professionals. Your effort is commendable. Whether it’s sunny, rainy, cold, or hot, you are always doing a fantastic job.”

For those unaware, at a recent event, Jaya Bachchan stated that she has no relationship with the paparazzi and questioned their qualifications and professionalism. She also criticized what she called their increasingly intrusive nature.

Condemning their behavior, the veteran actress stated: “These individuals outside, wearing tight pants and holding mobile phones… they believe that just because they have a mobile, they can capture your image and express whatever they wish. And the kind of remarks they make - what kind of individuals are they? Where do they come from? What sort of education do they have? What background do they hail from?”

Her comments quickly led to backlash from media professionals, social media users, and even several members of the film fraternity.
