Shilpa Shirodkar Discusses Sister Namrata's Conflict on 'Bigg Boss 18'

Mumbai, Dec 4 (NationPress) Contestant Shilpa Shirodkar from 'Bigg Boss 18' was visibly emotional while speaking about her sister Namrata Shirodkar during a chat with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on the popular reality series.
In a promotional clip, Anurag, who is set to question several participants, is heard asking Shilpa about being perceived as 'diplomatic'.
Shilpa responds: 'Gharwale nahi hain na mere khud ke' (They are not my family members) who would comfort me… I am the youngest child in my family.
Anurag then inquires: 'Namrata is older than you? What are your feelings about that?'
Shilpa shares that she had a disagreement with her sister, who is married to film star Mahesh Babu, prior to entering the 'Bigg Boss 18' house.
With tears in her eyes, she expressed: 'We had a fight and we didn’t speak for two weeks before I came here. I really miss her a lot. I hope she visits.'
Namrata was crowned Femina Miss India in 1993 and is primarily recognized for her roles in Hindi cinema. Her notable films include Kachche Dhaage, Ezhupunna Tharakan, Vaastav: The Reality, and Pukar. She has also acted in Astitva, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, LOC Kargil, and the British film Bride and Prejudice.
Namrata met the Telugu star Mahesh Babu while filming Vamsi. They began dating shortly after production wrapped up. The couple tied the knot in 2005 in Mumbai and are parents to a son and a daughter.
As for Shilpa, she debuted in Ramesh Sippy's 1989 film Bhrashtachar, where she portrayed a blind girl alongside Mithun Chakraborty and Rekha.
She starred with Anil Kapoor in the 1990 film Kishen Kanhaiya. The subsequent year saw her in successful projects such as Trinetra, Hum, Khuda Gawah, Aankhen, Pehchaan, Gopi Kishan, Bewafa Sanam, and Mrityudand. She chose to leave acting after marriage, with her last film appearance being in the 2000 movie Gaja Gamini.
