Mumbai, July 9 (NationPress) Television actress Shivani Gosain, recognized for her performances in popular shows such as “Kasautii Zindagii Kay” and “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii,” has bravely shared her experiences regarding her two unsuccessful marriages.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, the seasoned actress revisited a previous comment where she referred to marriage as a mistake. While Shivani made it clear that she does not oppose the concept of marriage, she admitted that her personal journey has been fraught with challenging decisions. Furthermore, she opened up about the considerable physical, mental, emotional, and social harassment she endured during her marital relationships.
“For me, it was a terrible experience. I’m not anti-marriage—everyone has their own destiny. I believe in karma, destiny, and God. But in my case, I made poor choices. I had two failed marriages and faced a lot of physical, mental, emotional, and even social harassment. There’s still a criminal case ongoing, so I can’t elaborate. But it was a nightmare that secluded me both personally and professionally. It took me a long time to recover,” shared Shivani Gosain.
Reflecting on her iconic shows like “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii” and “Kasautii Zindagii Kay,” she reminisced about how these series integrated into the daily lives of viewers. “During that time, we didn’t have social media or camera phones, yet people still recognized us, approached us on the streets, and asked for pictures. We appeared on shows like Kaun Banega Crorepati and encountered fans everywhere. Those days were magical. TRPs soared, sometimes exceeding 26! Nowadays, people are satisfied with mere 0.1. That era was golden, and I’m grateful to have been part of it.”
Gosain also discussed her decade-long journey in the industry, emphasizing her desire to engage in challenging and performance-driven roles, whether in mythological shows, fiction, fantasy, web series, or television. “I seek roles that challenge me and provide substantial opportunities,” she stated.
The veteran TV actress has also graced the screen in shows like Kabhi Saas Kabhi Bahu, Saraswatichandra, Rang Badalti Odhani, Love U Zindagi, Piya Ka Ghar Pyaara Lage, and Choti Sarrdaarni.
