Chennai, Sep 23 (NationPress) Actor and director Rishab Shetty has stated emphatically that the crew behind Kantara: Chapter 1 is not associated with a misleading poster of the film circulating on social media, expressing his surprise upon encountering it.

The fraudulent poster promotes a concept called Kantara Sankalpa, suggesting that viewers should undertake a personal commitment before watching the film.

The poster claims, "Kantara Sankalpa is a personal pledge that viewers should make to adhere to three divine principles while watching Kantara Chapter 1 on October 2nd. The divine principles include: 1. Abstaining from alcohol. 2. Refraining from smoking. 3. Avoiding non-vegetarian food. These guidelines must be followed until you see Kantara Chapter 1 in theatres. (sic)"

Interestingly, the poster also encouraged audiences to complete a Google form to receive a certificate of participation!

When Rishab Shetty was questioned about this poster during a press conference, he affirmed that it was indeed a fake and that the team behind Kantara: Chapter 1 had no affiliation with it.

The actor and director stressed that individuals' food or lifestyle choices should not be scrutinized by others, emphasizing that these are personal decisions. "The production team has no ties to this poster. I was genuinely shocked when I first saw it," he remarked, noting that he promptly checked with the production company regarding the poster's origins.

In other news, the eagerly anticipated trailer for the film was released on Monday. The buzz surrounding Kantara: Chapter 1 is fueled by the success of the original Kantara, which premiered in 2022. Although the trailer offers limited information, it successfully maintains a sense of mystery about the film.

Kantara: Chapter 1 stands as one of Hombale Films' most ambitious projects. The creative team features music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap, and production designer Vinesh Banglan, who have all contributed to the film’s compelling visual and emotional storytelling.

Furthermore, Hombale Films is dedicated to continuing the legacy of the 2022 hit. The filmmakers have orchestrated an extensive war scene for Kantara: Chapter 1, collaborating with both national and international experts, involving over 500 skilled fighters and approximately 3,000 participants. This sequence was captured over a sprawling 25-acre town on rugged terrain, taking 45-50 days to film, marking it as one of the largest sequences in Indian cinema history.

Set for a global release on October 2, the film will be available in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English, ensuring it reaches diverse audiences while remaining deeply rooted in its cultural essence.
