Shreya Kalra on Gaurav Khanna: 'Blessed man' to be rid of Akanksha Chamola
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa contestant Shreya Kalra launched a pointed verbal attack on fellow inmate Akanksha Chamola during the latest episode of the Netflix reality show, calling Chamola's estranged husband, actor Gaurav Khanna, a ‘blessed man’ and declaring, ‘May God never give anyone a wife like her.’ The remarks followed a tense group confrontation on 10 July that divided the house.
What Triggered the Fallout
The flashpoint came when Shilpa Shinde ordered two premium meals despite the house’s ‘Kharcha Paani’ — the in-game currency used to purchase food from the digital canteen — running critically low. The decision prompted most contestants to gang up against Shinde and her allies. Shreya, who counts Shinde and Madhuri Grover as her only two friends in the lock-up, found herself at the centre of the backlash.
Shreya’s Remarks About Akanksha Chamola
Speaking privately with Madhuri and Shilpa after the confrontation, Shreya did not hold back. She called Chamola a ‘mandbuddhi’ — roughly translated as an idiot — and criticised her for not alerting the group when host Farah Khan publicly pointed out that contestants were ganging up on them.
Shreya said: “Chamola is an idiot. Farah Khan told her on stage, ‘you all are ganging up on her.’ She didn’t come and tell anyone. She’s an idiot.”
Referencing Chamola’s reported separation from actor Gaurav Khanna, Shreya added: “Gaurav Khanna is a blessed man that he got rid of this witch. She ruined the joy of winning that show (Bigg Boss). May God never give anyone a wife like her.”
Akanksha Chamola Hits Back
The episode also featured Akanksha Chaudhary directing names at Shreya, though Shreya was seen maintaining her composure and choosing not to react publicly — a contrast to the sharper words she reserved for her private conversation with allies.
About Lock Upp Season 2
The second season of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa streams on Netflix and is co-hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. The current cast includes Akanksha Chaudhary, Yogesh Rawat, Sunita Ahuja, Ram Kapoor, Shreya Kalra, Shivangi Joshi, Harshad Chopra, Sufi Motiwala, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Madhuri Jain Grover, Riyaz Aly, and Varun Yadav (aka Laila) — 14 inmates in total, competing across 6 weeks.
The first season, hosted by Kangana Ranaut in 2022 with Karan Kundrra as jailor, was won by Munawar Faruqui. In this season, contestants must earn in-game currency through tasks to afford even basic necessities like food and supplies. With alliances fracturing this early, the dynamic inside the lock-up looks set to intensify.
