Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's 'Param Sundari' Set for Theatrical Launch on July 25, 2025

Mumbai, Dec 24 (NationPress) The romantic film ‘Param Sundari’, starring actors Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, has officially been set for its theatrical premiere on July 25, 2025.

Produced by Maddock Films and directed by Tushar Jalota, known for his work on ‘Dasvi’, the film tells a captivating love story between a North Indian character, portrayed by Sidharth, and a South Indian girl, filmed in the picturesque landscapes of Kerala.

This film promises to deliver a touching narrative of love, as two different cultures intersect, igniting a whirlwind of emotions. Set against the stunning backwaters of Kerala, it offers a delightful mix of humor, chaos, and surprising developments, as noted in a description shared by Maddock, according to variety.com.

Dinesh Vijan, the head of Maddock, remarked, “It’s reminiscent of the kind of films that Mani Ratnam used to create, such as ‘Saathiya’ (the Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Alai Payuthey’).”

He further elaborated, “The film’s music is captivating, with Janhvi showcasing a South Indian character while Sid plays a boy from Northern Delhi, and the conflict is quite intriguing. It’s like we are extending the narrative of ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ into a more advanced context, while also exploring elements reminiscent of ‘Kantara’.”

‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ features Kriti Sanon as SIFRA, a character who develops sentient feelings, with Shahid Kapoor playing the robotics engineer Aryan who falls for her.

‘Kantara’, released in 2022 and directed by Rishab Shetty, is a folk-action drama that unfolds in rural Karnataka, depicting the struggle of a rebellious villager, Shiva, against the clash of sacred traditions and modern avarice.

Maddock recently unveiled a poster for ‘Param Sundari’ on Instagram, stating: “North ka swag, South ki grace – two worlds collide and sparks fly. Dinesh Vijan presents #ParamSundari, a love story directed by Tushar Jalota, hitting cinemas on 25th July 2025. Meet the charming Sidharth Malhotra as Param and the graceful Janhvi Kapoor as Sundari.”

They also introduced the characters played by the leads, with Sidharth’s character described as “Introducing @sidmalhotra as North ka Munda Param, ready to win your hearts!”
