Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's ‘Param Sundari’ Set to Hit Theaters on July 25, 2025

Mumbai, Dec 24 (NationPress) The upcoming film ‘Param Sundari’, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, has been confirmed for a theatrical debut on July 25, 2025.

This film is produced by Maddock Films and helmed by Tushar Jalota, known for his work on ‘Dasvi’. It portrays a love story between a North Indian character played by Sidharth and a South Indian woman, filmed amidst the scenic landscapes of Kerala.

The narrative promises a touching tale of love where two cultures intersect, and excitement is sure to unfold. Taking place in the stunning backwaters of Kerala, this romantic tale is described as a vibrant mix of humor, chaos, and surprising turns that will keep audiences on their toes,” according to a synopsis shared by Maddock, as reported by variety.com.

“It resembles those films crafted by Mani Ratnam, such as ‘Saathiya’ (the Hindi remake of the Tamil romantic drama ‘Alai Payuthey’),” stated Dinesh Vijan, head of Maddock, in an interview with Variety.

“The music is captivating, Janhvi’s role as a South Indian adds a unique touch, and Sidharth’s portrayal of a Delhi boy introduces a compelling conflict. It’s akin to evolving the theme from ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ while incorporating a modern twist. We’re venturing into a realm reminiscent of ‘Kantara’ but with our distinctive flair.”

In Maddock’s successful sci-fi romantic comedy ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, Kriti Sanon plays SIFRA, an AI entity who develops feelings for Shahid Kapoor’s character, a robotics engineer named Aryan.

Released in 2022, ‘Kantara’ is a folk-action drama directed by Rishab Shetty, set in rural Karnataka. It follows a rebellious villager named Shiva, who finds himself at odds with a clash between his community’s sacred traditions and the encroaching modernity.

On social media, Maddock unveiled the film’s poster, captioning: “North ka swag, South ki grace – two worlds collide and sparks fly. Presenting #ParamSundari, a love story directed by Tushar Jalota, arriving in cinemas on 25th July 2025. Meet the charming Sidharth Malhotra as Param and the delightful Janhvi Kapoor as Sundari.”

The characters were also introduced; for Sidharth’s role it read: “Introducing @sidmalhotra as North ka Munda Param, ready to enchant audiences!”

Janhvi’s character was described as “Introducing @janhvikapoor as South ki Sundari, poised to win hearts with her elegance.”
