Chennai, Nov 30 (NationPress) Actor Silambarasan, known for his lead role in director Vetrimaaran’s highly anticipated action film 'Arasan', delighted his fans on Sunday by sharing his latest look in response to their requests.

He posted a photo showcasing a rugged appearance on his X timeline, accompanied by the caption, "As per my fans' request (with a heart symbol)."

Unsurprisingly, his fans reacted with excitement, speculating that this look might be what he will portray in 'Arasan'. Many of them have urged him to finish the film quickly.

The film has generated significant anticipation for several reasons. Firstly, it marks the inaugural collaboration between Simbu and esteemed director Vetrimaran. Additionally, the film is produced by one of Tamil cinema’s leading figures, Kalaipuli S Thanu. Recently, the announcement that Vijay Sethupathi has joined the cast has further fueled excitement.

Just this Tuesday, the film's producers welcomed Vijay Sethupathi to the project.

A teaser released by the producers opens on a light note with director Nelson appearing as himself.

In the teaser, Simbu tells Nelson that what he is about to share is entirely true. He mentions that the killers, victims, names, and locations are all authentic. However, he urges Nelson not to depict it as is and to include a disclaimer in his film, explaining that many of the cases he references are still ongoing trials.

As Simbu states this, the producers of 'Arasan' release a disclaimer.

He advises Nelson that if a disclaimer is included, even if the events portrayed in the film are accurate, no one can contest it. Simbu mentions that his case is up for hearing next and he will return to elaborate.

Entering the courtroom, he is coached by his lawyer. Once on the stand, the judge informs him that he faces charges for three murders in one night and asks for his plea. Simbu responds that he is innocent, yet the following scenes imply that he is indeed the murderer.

The teaser suggests an untold narrative from the world of 'Vada Chennai'. It’s worth recalling that the title of the film was only recently announced as 'Arasan'.

Director Vetrimaran’s film starring Simbu will also feature Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani, and Kishore in significant roles, with music composed by Anirudh.

It’s important to note that Vetrimaran has recently clarified that his next film, 'Arasan', featuring Simbu, will not be 'Vada Chennai 2', despite media speculation. He emphasized that the narrative of 'Arasan' will, however, be set within the 'Vada Chennai' universe.
