Mumbai, Nov 4 (NationPress) Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who is set to appear in the upcoming film ‘Jatadhara’, is reminiscing about her memorable role in the film ‘Lootera’. She revealed that it was her third or fourth project following her successful debut in ‘Dabangg’, and many advised her against taking on the film due to its perceived lack of commercial success.
Despite the warnings, she trusted her gut and committed to the role. Speaking to IANS prior to the release of ‘Jatadhara’, Sonakshi reflected on her cherished memories associated with ‘Lootera’.
On the enduring affection for ‘Lootera’ even after 12 years, the actress expressed to IANS, “I find it astonishing. Whenever I meet someone, their first comment is always, ‘We loved you in ‘Lootera’’. For a film to maintain such an influence over the years is truly remarkable, and I feel immense pride in being part of it. It has been one of my most rewarding experiences.”
She added, “At that time, it was perhaps my third or fourth film, and many had cautioned me, ‘Don't take this project’. However, I followed my intuition, insisting, ‘Regardless of the outcome, I will take this role because I can see myself as Paakhi’. I have no regrets, as I still receive so much adoration for that character. It’s simply beautiful.”
