Mumbai, July 31 (NationPress) Actress Sonali Bendre is embarking on an exciting new chapter as the host of the couple reality show, "Pati Patni Aur Panga". She will be joined by comedian and actor Munawar Faruqui in this hosting endeavor.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, Sonali was queried, "Having previously judged reality shows, how does hosting feel different from that role?"
In response, Sonali explained that as a judge, she merely comments on the performances in front of her. In contrast, as a host, she must oversee the entire program.
"Hosting is akin to flying a kite—at times you tighten the string, at other moments you let it loose, and occasionally you even cut it. You need to manage the energy and flow throughout the show," shared the 'Sarfarosh' actress.
Reflecting on her hosting experience, Sonali admitted, "This is my debut as a host, and honestly, I feel quite anxious—more than just a little. I'm surrounded by numerous other artists who are all stars in their own right. Plus, there's Munawar, who thrives on spontaneous interactions, whereas I'm accustomed to scripted dialogues. The thought of unscripted hosting alongside him is a bit intimidating for me."
"Pati Patni Aur Panga" will feature couples like Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla, Avika Gor and Milind Chandwani, Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary, Sudesh Lehri and Mamta Lehri, Geeta Phogat and Pawan Kumar, along with Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmed as contestants.
When asked which couple she believes will stand out, Sonali remarked that each couple possesses remarkable strengths and uniqueness.
The 'Diljale' actress further added, "This casting is among the finest I've seen. We have newlyweds, couples on the verge of marriage, and Sudesh ji and Mamta ji, who are tying the knot at forty. Every partnership has its distinctiveness, so I can't say who will emerge as the strongest."
"Pati Patni Aur Panga" is set to make its debut on August 2 on Colors TV.
