Mumbai, Jan 3 (NationPress) In an exciting revelation, singer Sonu Nigam expressed that his involvement in the highly awaited war film "Border 2" and its new track "Ghar Kab Aaoge" feels like a heartwarming homecoming. The song was unveiled by the film's creators on Friday, and it holds a special place in Nigam's heart, as he previously lent his voice to the original track "Sandese Aate Hai".

Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, Nigam emphasized that this isn’t merely a song for him; it’s an emotion. He dedicated "Ghar Kab Aaoge" to the courageous soldiers and their families, stating, "Some melodies transcend mere tunes; they resonate with the soul of our nation. 🇮🇳 Being involved in this song for Border 2 has been a beautiful homecoming. It’s rare for an artist to experience such magic, and I feel genuinely grateful that this journey continues. This tribute is for our brave soldiers and their families awaiting their return (sic)."

The song features a remarkable lineup of vocalists, including Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh, and was launched during a grand event.

Originally composed by Anu Malik, the track has been reinterpreted by Mithoon, with new lyrics from Manoj Muntashir Shukla.

The iconic original track "Sandese Aate Hai", featured in the 1999 film "Border", was performed by Sonu Nigam and Roopkumar Rathod. The lyrics were penned by Javed Akhtar and it showcased stars like Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, and Jackie Shroff.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 boasts a star-studded cast, including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, and Anya Singh in significant roles.

Presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series, alongside J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films, with support from Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, Border 2 is set for a theatrical release on January 23.
